When you order a whole beef from Hidden Spring Farm, you have the freedom to customize every cut to your liking. This package is perfect for larger families aiming to fill their freezer or for those interested in saving money by purchasing in bulk.
Sold by Hanging Weight:
Our whole beef option is sold by the hanging weight of the animal, which is the weight after the hide, head, and entrails have been removed. We charge $3.85/lb on the hanging weight.
Average Hanging Weight:
The hanging weight for a whole beef typically ranges between 600-700lbs. Please keep in mind that weight may vary as each animal is unique.
Butcher Date Assignment:
Upon making your deposit, we will assign you the next available butcher date. Alternatively, you may request a specific time of year that you prefer by leaving a comment in the 'special instructions' section during checkout. When your butcher date arrives, we will notify you and connect you directly with our butcher to discuss cutting instructions.
Payment and Refund Policy:
The balance for your order must be paid at pickup, and we accept cash, check, or Venmo only. Please be aware that deposits are non-refundable.
Freezer Space Requirements:
Depending on the weight of your customized cuts, you'll need ample freezer space to store your bulk order. We recommend ensuring you have enough room to accommodate approximately 2 cubic feet per 50 pounds of meat.
